Trailhead Academy Courses
My employer has the Salesforce Signature Success support plan. This includes free Trailhead Academy courses for the year. My manager has encouraged us to take as many classes as we want. Challenge accepted!
I have decided to take a course monthly if it fits into my schedule. I have taken the following courses so far:
- April: SDC101 - Discover Salesforce Data Cloud Fundamentals
- May: ARC101 - Design & Build Integration Solutions
I have signed up for the following courses:
- June: CRT450 - Prepare for your Platform Developer I Certification Exam
- July: OMS365 - Design & Administer an Omnistudio Solution
The June course is the final one in the series before they retire it. I believe it will be very similar to the Certification Day sessions Salesforce previously offered for free. I'm hoping it helps kick start my studies more & gives me more confidence to take the exam again.
The July course coincides with my manager's vacation. Additionally, it falls during the week of July 4th, which is the Independence Day holiday. I hope this means that many people will be out of the office, creating a quieter environment for me to take the course. Most likely, meetings will be canceled due to my manager being away, but I guess we'll see if my prediction is accurate.
I plan to skip taking courses during August and September because I will be moving during that time. I am not sure I would have the time or focus to commit to them. Once things settle down, I would like to sign up for the following courses:
- IND320 - Administer Health Cloud Solutions
- OMS435 - Build Guided Experiences with Omnistudio
- DEX450 - Build Applications Programmatically on the Salesforce Platform
Each of these courses normally costs between $2700 to over $5K, so an amazing opportunity to get them for free with my employer's Salesforce support plan.
